The 60-second read

Here is why this one earns a place on a US retail watchlist, in the time it takes to read it. Goldgroup is a real, cash-generating gold and silver producer — not a concept looking for a mine — that has just rebuilt itself into a bigger platform and put a third mine back on the workbench for potential re-start of production in 2027. Two operations already sell metal, a fourth asset in Michigan is at the feasibility-study stage, and a well-known resource investor is on the register. Every line below is a figure from a filing, with its source attached, and nothing on this page is a forecast.

The 60-second case

Why could GORO be interesting?

Four pillars, each with a figure and a filing. Every figure here is the company’s own, cited where it lives.

01

Two Mines Are Producing Today

Don David underground mine complex, Oaxaca and Cerro Prieto (Sonora) are both in production. This is not a story about a mine that might exist someday — revenue-generating operations are already running.

1.23 Million Ounces, Measured and Indicated

The San Francisco mine hosts resources of 1.23 million ounces of M&I gold — 48.3 Mt at 0.37 g/t measured plus 56.8 Mt at 0.35 g/t indicated — with a further 178 koz inferred (17.3 Mt at 0.32 g/t). The El Llano exploration target of 40–78 Mt at 0.38–0.61 g/t is conceptual in nature and is not yet a mineral resource as more infill drilling is required.

03

The Don David Mine Is Making Money

Operating subsidiary Gold Resource Corp. reported Q1-2026 revenue of US$43.9 million, net income of US$4.7 million, cash of US$31.0 million and positive working capital of US$40.2 million. A small producer that funds itself is a different starting point from one that lives raise-to-raise — the margin reflects today's metal prices. Goldgroup itself, for the quarter before the merger closed, reported Q2-2026 gold sales of US$21.0 million, a net loss of US$6.1 million and cash of US$15.7 million at June 30, 2026; those statements do not include Gold Resource.

A Restart With a Signed Contract Behind It

At San Francisco, a 26,053-metre drill program is scheduled to finish in Q4-2026 and a contract has been signed to re-commission the plant and work in underway. The restart itself is being evaluated; the company's stated restart window is late 2026 to Q1-2027. That is a window, not a date — the company itself has given two timeframes, so we quote both ends.

What GORO actually owns

Four assets, four numbers

A watchlist name is only as good as the rock behind it. Here is the whole portfolio on one screen: two mines already selling metal, one under evaluation for restart, and one held for the future. One hard figure each — the rest lives in the filings.

Producing

Don David — Arista

Oaxaca, Mexico

proven & probable reserves, Dec 31, 2025 · plus M&I resources exclusive of reserves of 63 kt (Arista) and 168 kt (Alta Gracia) · Form 10-K, FY2025

The underground mine that feeds an 1,800-tonne-per-day flotation plant and generates the group's revenue. The Alta Gracia area restarted mining on February 20, 2026, and 25,726 metres have been drilled across 123 holes in seven months. Mineral resources are not mineral reserves.

Producing

Cerro Prieto

Sonora, Mexico

Although Cero Prieto has not published new resources since depleting its most recently published resource, it continues to mine newly defines zones outlined with drilling over the past year.

The group's second operating mine, in production for more than a decade — a steady, self-funding open pit and heap leach, running since 2013 at 4,200–4,500 tonnes per day, alongside the underground ounces being mined at Don David. Mineral resources are not mineral reserves.

Back Forty

Michigan, United States
Since May 2026
feasibility study under way · no completion date published

A 100%-owned, gold-rich volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) project in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. It is optionality, not in production: a feasibility study has been under way since May 2026, with no completion date published. Back Forty hosts indicated mineral resources of 9,360 kt at 2.41 g/t Au, 28.1 g/t Ag, 0.36% Cu and 3.74% Zn (open pit) and 5,137 kt at 1.86 g/t Au, 24.1 g/t Ag, 0.41% Cu and 2.65% Zn (underground), and inferred mineral resources of 566 kt at 2.70 g/t Au, 48.8 g/t Ag, 0.35% Cu and 1.31% Zn (open pit) and 627 kt at 2.00 g/t Au, 26.1 g/t Ag, 0.37% Cu and 2.89% Zn (underground), as of December 31, 2025 (Form 10-K, FY2025). No measured resources or mineral reserves have been established; mineral resources are not mineral reserves. More detail is in the company’s filings.

What else is on the tape?

Beyond the four pillars, the recent operating record adds texture. Each item below is a fact from a filing, not a forecast.

  • Drilling pace: 25,726 metres across 123 holes in seven months at Don David, with standout intercepts of 1.92 m ETW at 13.49 g/t gold plus 931 g/t silver, and 2.55 m ETW at 1,695 g/t silver. Drill intercepts are not mineral resources. Source: news release, Aug 17, 2026 (ex-99.4)
  • Realized prices: US$5,098/oz gold and US$98.09/oz silver in Q1-2026 at Gold Resource Corp., the pre-merger operating subsidiary. The result is real — and it is a function of the price environment, which nobody controls. Source: Gold Resource Corp. Form 10-Q, Q1 2026
  • A reference anchor on the register: Eric Sprott reported an undiluted stake of about 7.5% in an early-warning filing dated July 20, 2026, and about 8% as disclosed as of September 1, 2026.
  • A rebuilt platform: merger closed July 17, 2026; trading on NYSE American since July 20, plus TSXV and Frankfurt; 135,419,619 shares outstanding per the issuer's investor page as of August 19, 2026. Source: Form 8-K, merger closing (SEC); goldgroupmining.com
  • Development optionality at Back Forty (Michigan): a feasibility study has been under way since May 2026, with no completion date published; not in production. Detail in the company’s filings. Source: Gold Resource Corp. Form 10-Q, Q1 2026 (SEC)

What is the company itself saying?

The most enthusiastic numbers around this story are the company's own targets. They belong on the page — labeled as claims, and anchored to what the group actually sold.

  • From the company More than 50,000 metres of drilling committed this year across its properties.
  • From the company San Francisco, if restarted, is put at 40,000–60,000 oz of gold a year — labelled by the company as based on historic data, for a project with no demonstrated reserves.
  • From the company A group target of roughly 60,000 oz AuEq in 2026 and more than 100,000 by the end of 2027, with a longer-term goal of 250,000.

For scale: FY2025 sales at Gold Resource Corp., the pre-merger operating subsidiary, were 23,125 AuEq oz. Getting from there to those targets means multiplying output several times over, and no formal guidance has been published. Treat the targets as the company's stated ambition, nothing more.

The wind at its back

Why the margin is this wide right now

Goldgroup earns its money in a strong metal market. In Q1-2026 Gold Resource Corp., the pre-merger operating subsidiary, realised US$5,098 an ounce for gold and US$98.09 an ounce for silver — historically high levels, and the direct reason a small producer could turn a US$43.9 million quarter into US$4.7 million of net income. Goldgroup’s own Cerro Prieto operation realised US$4,429 per gold ounce in Q2-2026.

That is the leverage worth understanding. Gold Resource Corp., the pre-merger operating subsidiary, sold about 8,749 gold-equivalent ounces in the quarter, so a small producer's results move hard with the metal prices — which is exactly why the upside is real, and exactly why the same lever cuts the other way: a weaker metal price would compress results just as quickly. Nobody controls where the metal trades next, and this page makes no forecast of it.

(the “subject company”). This communication is a paid advertisement — not a research report, not investment advice, and not an independent publication. Machurucuto Corp is not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, or securities analyst. Investing in small-cap or micro-cap securities is highly speculative and may result in the total loss of your investment. 1 · Nature and intent of this communication

Machurucuto Corp is a for-profit marketing agency engaged in paid promotion of public companies. The content it produces is strictly commercial and is intended to create temporary public awareness, visibility and short-term market activity around the featured company. This material is not impartial. Read it as a paid commercial advertisement — not as editorial, research or independent commentary. 2 · Compensation

Machurucuto Corp has been engaged, for compensation, to provide awareness and promotional media services regarding the subject company. This arrangement creates a direct, material and unavoidable conflict of interest: treat all content here as promotional, financially motivated, and produced for the benefit of the party that pays for it. Assume that any statement about the subject company is materially influenced by that compensation. Neither Machurucuto Corp nor the paying party makes any representation, warranty or guarantee as to the accuracy, timeliness or completeness of the information provided, and both disclaim any liability for investment losses that may result from reliance on this material.

3 · Intended audience

This communication is directed solely to U.S.-based, self-directed investors who understand the risks of investing in micro-cap and exchange-listed securities. It is not intended for children, seniors, retirement accounts, or individuals with limited securities-trading experience, and it is not intended to guide long-term portfolio management or financial planning.

4 · No endorsement or verification of company claims

Machurucuto Corp has not independently verified, investigated, audited or substantiated any statement, representation or claim made by the featured company, its officers, directors, employees, affiliates, agents, press releases, marketing materials or any third-party source. Assume that all information regarding the subject company — including business descriptions, operational updates, technical or resource data, partnerships, projections, market estimates and strategic plans — is unverified, unaudited, incomplete, potentially inaccurate, and subject to change without notice. Do not treat publication of these statements as an endorsement or confirmation of their validity, and do not rely on any company-provided claim, projection or forward-looking statement in making an investment decision. If you invest, you do so entirely at your own risk; conduct your own independent due diligence, including a review of the issuer's regulatory filings, before making any decision.

5 · Market influence and expected trading pattern

Paid promotional campaigns for small- and micro-cap securities often cause temporary, artificial and unsustainable increases in share price and trading volume, driven by short-term speculative interest rather than any change in the underlying business. You should assume and expect that the subject company's share price may rise sharply during active promotion; that volume may spike on speculative buying; that once buying interest subsides or the promotion ends — which can happen suddenly and without notice — the price may decline precipitously, potentially to pre-promotion levels or lower, within days or hours; and that such movements need not correlate with the company's fundamentals. Such spikes are frequently followed by steep, rapid and often irreversible losses. If you buy during or shortly after a promotional period, be prepared for a high probability of losing a substantial portion, or all, of your investment. By engaging with this content you accept that you understand this and will not hold Machurucuto Corp responsible for losses resulting from such trading patterns.

6 · No reliance; investor responsibility

The burden of research, verification and risk assessment rests entirely with you. All content here is promotional and should not be the basis for any investment decision. You are solely responsible for reviewing all publicly available information (including the issuer's regulatory filings and audited financial statements), for consulting a licensed investment professional, attorney or tax adviser, and for understanding the risks inherent in micro-cap and early-stage public companies, which may include extreme volatility, illiquidity, limited financial transparency, insider selling, share dilution, regulatory challenges and business failure. By viewing this material you agree that you will not rely solely on it, that you accept full responsibility for independent due diligence, and that Machurucuto Corp and its affiliates will not be liable for losses arising from your reliance on this content.

These statements are inherently uncertain, rest on assumptions that may prove incorrect, and involve known and unknown risks that may cause actual results to differ materially. This content uses publicly available information, including company websites, press releases and materials supplied by the paying party or related parties, which Machurucuto Corp does not verify or validate. Assume all information presented is subjective, not independently verified, created to highlight potential upside and to omit downsides, and not suitable as the basis for any investment decision.

9 · Ownership and trading conflicts

Machurucuto Corp, its contractors, members and affiliates, and the paying party and its affiliates, may hold, acquire or dispose of securities of the subject company, and may buy or sell them without prior notice, before, during or after a promotional campaign. Such transactions may affect market pricing. Machurucuto Corp is not obligated to update readers on its trading activity or holdings.

18 · Important information — technical & forward-looking

Scientific and technical information regarding the subject company is that of the company and its Qualified Persons under National Instrument 43-101 (“NI 43-101”), as set out in the company's technical reports (including reports on its Don David, Cerro Prieto, San Francisco and Back Forty projects) filed on SEDAR+. Readers are encouraged to read each technical report in its entirety, including all qualifications, assumptions, exclusions and risk factors; each report is intended to be read as a whole and sections should not be relied on out of context.

The company states that the technical aspects of its September 2026 corporate presentation were reviewed and approved by Craig Gibson of Goldgroup Mining Inc., a Qualified Person under NI 43-101. The estimates it publishes rest on: the San Francisco NI 43-101 technical report dated May 1, 2026 with an effective date of April 30, 2026, prepared by Micon International Limited; the Cerro Prieto technical report with an effective date of April 4, 2025, prepared by Rodrigo R. Carneiro, José A. Olmedo and Cristian Garcia; the Don David S-K 1300 technical report as at December 31, 2025.

On the production figures quoted anywhere on this page. The company labels a portion of them in-house estimates (San Francisco, and the heap-leach and expansion programmes at Cerro Prieto) and others based on historic data. San Francisco does not have demonstrated mineral reserves and its production rates are conceptual only; the company states expressly that its potential production is too early to be considered official guidance, and that the group targets assume a positive decision on and execution of the restart. Stated mine lives are conceptual, rest on existing mineral resource estimates that may not have demonstrated economic viability, and assume an inferred-conversion rate; there is no guarantee that resources can be converted into economical reserves.

Mineral resources that are not mineral reserves do not have demonstrated economic viability, and a preliminary economic assessment is preliminary in nature and may include inferred mineral resources that are too speculative geologically to be categorised as mineral reserves; there is no certainty that the results, assumptions or conclusions of any such assessment will be realised. Resource and reserve estimates may be materially affected by geological, metallurgical, environmental, permitting, legal, title, taxation, socio-political, marketing and other factors.

Forward-looking information regarding the subject company — including any statement about future production, project restart, timing, economics, financing, permitting, exploration results, reserve or resource estimates, integration of acquisitions, future cash flow, market recognition or shareholder value — is subject to known and unknown risks and uncertainties, including commodity-price and exchange-rate fluctuations, cost inflation, exploration and mining risk, the risk that a project restart may not occur or may not occur on anticipated terms, the risk that assumptions or conclusions of a preliminary economic assessment may not be realised, permitting and regulatory risk, financing risk, and jurisdiction-specific political and economic risk, among others. There can be no assurance any such outcome will occur. Review the subject company's public filings and technical reports in their entirety, including their risk factors, before making any investment decision.
